@xDaily This has nothing to do with Kuiper, we’re just trying to make Starlink more affordable to a broader audience. The lower the cost, the more Starlink can be used by people who don’t have much money, especially in the developing world.

Read that again. The combatant commands are here. The launchpads are here. The primes are here. The dual-use startups are moving here. Why? Because the customer is here. The operators are here. The proving grounds are here. The capital is here. This is the dual-use thesis in plain English: When your state hosts the commands that define global security AND the launchpads that define the space economy AND the venture ecosystem to fund what’s next— You don’t have a defense sector. You have a defense ecosystem. Florida isn’t adjacent to defense tech. Florida is defense tech. 🇺🇸 🚀

March 1, 2019 just hours before the Demo-1 launch, first flight of Dragon 2. I was just behind Elon on the crew tower as we were giving Bob, Doug, Victor and Mike a tour along with the NASA Admin. I remember seeing him looking out at the Cape and feeling just as inspired and excited (also nervous for the launch!). So I took a photo… 😎
