Ok I drove over and looked, scanned all the strip malls and didn’t see anything sadly :/ The Spirit/walgreens was empty. Unforch I don’t think the address is a clue! It probably just functions as a way to ground the film in reality, and besides, it’s set in the 90s. Sorry!

Folks… Mckee rd and N Capitol Ave are real roads in San Jose (phone was a Los Gatos number) and there’s a Spirit Halloween at that location on the map… the building is probably sitting empty…

maybe I’m overthinking it, but the audio on the phone call sounds like a fax machine - the sounds are specifically how fax machines communicate w/ each other to send info. Has anyone tried calling the Backrooms phone number with a fax machine?

learning to parse critique is as much as a skill as learning to listen to critique. i learnt early on how to accept critique, but it's been a more recent skill learning to know what advice you can disregard with confidence and reasoning.
