Saw Sandra the Snapping turtle on my ride home today nesting on the shoulder. The good people @OntarioSPCA in Orangeville were a great help in getting her relocated!

@ThatBadDad1 @KirkwoodLab @TurtleGuardians @LeoraTBerman If there is a nest rescue program near you they may be able to help too, but I’m not sure who is near you. & helping Mom safely away from the road once she’s done would be ideal, if it’s safe to. (In the direction she chooses, or she’ll just turn around and try crossing again!)

Thanks @PtboCounty @TurtleGuardians & grassroots turtle champions 🐢 We noticed the #turtle Monitoring Zone signs on University Rd. Checked it out while being serenaded by peepers 🐸 @roadecology techniques on the entirety of this busy road just make sense to protect all species!
