I asked Dan Hurley the same question I asked Tom Izzo: why does the media have a problem with coaches coaching players hard? Hurley: "Society has gotten soft in a lot of ways... The real world is tough and cruel... I'm preparing my players for life."

AND how the player talks to themselves (Self Talk) Because that is going to influence if players talk to each other and how players talk to each other

@MikeLeslieWFAA There’s a reason Metroplex early Dec tourneys and holiday tourneys are littered w/ out of town teams West Texas, East Texas, South Texas, Central Texas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio They all know that you have to go thru the Metroplex in some form or fashion to win 🏆

North Texas runs #TXHSBB. Local teams won state championships in the eight largest classifications in the state this weekend, and in nine of the 10 largest. The only levels North Texas teams didn't win were the two 1A titles and 2A-Division I. North Texas doesn't exactly have a bunch of tiny schools like that...... 6A-Division I: North Crowley 6A-Division II: Little Elm 5A-Division I: Frisco Heritage 5A-Division II: Mansfield Summit 4A-Division I: Kimball 4A-Division II: Carter 3A-Division I: Madison 3A-Division II: Paradise 2A-Division II: Lipan The other three champs: Panhandle won 2A-Division I, Jayton won 1A-Division II, and Turkey Valley won 1A-Division I.

I always said if you dropped a📍in middle of @TviewBasketball court and drew a 25 mile radius, the area was thick w/ talent and rich w/ tradition Players & Coaches It was proven to be true again at the @uiltexas 🏀 Championships last weekend Congrats to all who won DI & DII 🥇

This will happen in Texas unfortunately where almost 6 million public school students reside! Our elected officials have neglected Public Schools which serve 93% of the student population for far too long. New leadership is needed. Texas deserves the best for kid’s & teachers!

@CBS11BillJones @_CoachMitchell @uiltexas Sad to lose the Regional & State Tournaments BOTH special experiences If you win a state title now you are the best of half the teams in your classification because half the field is eliminated before you even start 🤷‍♂️ Split into 1A-12A or however many A’s are deemed necessary

Ridiculous decision by @uiltexas to split playoffs into 2 divisions. You have to do it in football; can only play once a week. But it makes no sense in basketball & other sports. No more regional tournaments, no state tournament & unlucky early round draws for top teams.

Players & Coaches: The game knows You can try and fool others You can try and fool yourself You cannot fool the game 🏀 🏈 ⛳️ ⚾️ 🏐 🏃 🏊 knows if you’ve put in the time, effort, attention to detail The game knows 🔮
