Apparently Wirfs had Linderbaum’s number in HS wrestling but this was Linderbaum in the upset. Wirfs, Linderbaum, Marshall Yonda and others all were from a 25 mile stretch in Iowa where HS wrestling is the deal.

November 14, 1981 remains one of the most important and impactful days of my life. However, it was years and months in the making with folks that I grew up with and around.
