@TweetDisliker @JerryN63918 Stop using these silly metaphors, the US has China exactly where it needs to be and it won't be moving an inch. China has vastly aided American cultural imperialism, where millions of Iranians can experience a Temu white suburban lifestyle at the expense of their own culture.

Never forget that Russia and China helped the US place over a decade of US resolutions against Iran the moment the Americans offered them package and reset-of-relations deals. These are not free or principled nations and their support for Iran has been negligible.

@TweetDisliker @JerryN63918 @irmilitaryvlog About specific agreements that China were pushing for the last decade now, they wanted concessions for their supposed investments, they thought Iran is another country they can boss around, since they helped the west weaken Iran's economy, many people don't realize all this.

@TweetDisliker @JerryN63918 @irmilitaryvlog those investments were followed with strings attached that delimish Iran's sovereignty, no independent country should accept that, Iran is not a vassal state like Pakistan. Don't be a fool, fool.

@TweetDisliker @cirnosad My claim is you stop sharing your certainties and find better sources. China's support for sanctions is what has brought war to Iran.

@irmilitaryvlog @cirnosad Iran was already under (illegal, opposed by China) secondary US sanctions. Iran does *not* have its own geospatial positioning network, and China has also (almost certainly) been helping with imaging and BDAs. ISW is awful, but is your claim here that they invented these ships?

@TweetDisliker @cirnosad China has used UN Security Council resolutions that denies Iran international market access in its favor. Iran on its part already has its own satellite system. Finally, ISW is not a real source.

China actually utilizes democratic centralism, which includes giving citizens the ability to elect representatives. Eurocentric propaganda has really convinced people that the only system of democracy which exists in the world is Western style democracy and that the only alternative has to be something which is undemocratic.
Atakuton@Hanny76726301

Where's "democracy" in China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE?. These countries are well developed. Europeans want to shove "democracy" in to the throat of Africans for their own imperialist interest. 60yrs of "democracy" has brought misery, poverty n wars.

@TweetDisliker @manofsteel__7 @DOmowale I’ve noticed that authoritarian states throughout history tend to be perceived as been popular with the people. Therefore, any opposition can be rightfully labeled as treasonous/communist/counter revolutionary. Repression is then justified.

@JerryN63918 @irmilitaryvlog China has been aggressively pruning its economic relations with America. Now at 35 year lows. Iran has been largely responsible for shunning Chinese investment. Which is fine or even good when it comes to miltech, but on civilian side makes no sense.

@irmilitaryvlog Russia is definitely free from Western influence after the Ukraine war started. Russia is the most sanctioned country on earth. China is more concerned about it's economic cooperation with the west. So maybe you are right about the Chinese.

@Rob_W75 @manofsteel__7 @DOmowale Not only is their system a democracy, it's a much better one. Chinese get democratic outcomes, and we don't. It's why every Canadian govt almost immediately becomes widely unpopular after election - nothing changes, no one gets what they want. The CPC OTOH is extremely popular.

@Rob_W75 @manofsteel__7 @DOmowale No, it doesn't mean that at all. Democracy simply means 'rule of the people' and there as many ways to (attempt to, claim to) implement that as we can imagine. China uses democratic centralism. It seems to work.

@21stcentury_ML If you want a dick measuring contest about tech and the defense industry, I should point out that China has to copy American "tech vaporware" and steal defense secrets in order to do LLMs and stealth aircraft. But sure China number 1.

There is nothing more important than GDP, and the CCP understands this better than Chinaboos. The whole point of China doing all the infrastructure development is to make China not poor. What does GDP get you? Well if it isn't important, why is this central to Chinese policy?
Bay Area People’s Republic 🚩☭@21stcentury_ML

This argument is so funny because if anything it shows China is extraordinarily efficient in creating social goods relative to its measured wealth What is your “gdp per capita” getting with your dogshit infrastructure?

@Modern_Mechanic @coryfromphilly How is their trade reliance a problem if it's below the world average of 30%? This is one of the myths that led to the Liberation Day stupidity. It's simply not true, and it refuses to die. Ask yourself why you never hear people commenting on French 'export dependence.'

@Modern_Mechanic @coryfromphilly China's exports are 20% of GDP. That's... very middling. It's only large in absolute quantities. And again, this consumption being low thing is a myth. Chinese consume a lot, just measure actual stuff and not dollars. Calories, cement, steel, phones, furniture, etc.

@TweetDisliker @coryfromphilly "You talk as if China is some outlandish exporter" they are, compared to domestic consumption "if it's workers are in desperate need of relief" they are, especially with WORLDWIDE slump in this mid-2020's

@Modern_Mechanic @coryfromphilly The main thing China needs to (and is) improving on is urbanization. Still a few hundred million people to move into cities, which will improve their welfare. That has very little to do with unions or monetary welfare payments, but about building, making, moving.

@Modern_Mechanic @coryfromphilly You talk as if China is some outlandish exporter (much less than Germany or Canada, similar to Japan and France), or as if it's workers are in desperate need of relief (good longevity, low retirement age, highly consumptive of actual goods). They took a diff path to welfare.
