Ron, why are you blaming them, when they are just taking the lead from the Canadian government ? Taking the lead from the government that is basing all housing plans based on lies. Where are the hundreds of thousands of housing being built? I want to invest in it. Can you please point me in the right direction ? Can't blame the realtors, if they are taking the cue from the federal government. There is a precedent. And they have made it work. So the realtors are just following a proven method. No ?????

Canadians Need To Hear The Truth Not This Nonsense The Federal Housing Minister NEVER uses the phrase Homes To Buy" once Because there aren't any It's just Social Housing Shame on the Liberal Government for DUPLICATING the work of CMHC with a whole new Bureaucracy
Gregor Robertson@gregorrobertson

By empowering Build Canada Homes to fully step into its own as Canada’s affordable housing builder, our government is not just taking bold action to tackle today’s affordable housing shortage, we’re looking to the future.

@FedExCanada Hello, We are writing to follow up on an ongoing issue that has remained unresolved for over a year. We have an active FedEx account (795853197), and we received five cheques for missing and damaged claim settlements. Unfortunately, all five cheques were returned due to insufficient funds. We immediately contacted our account manager and provided all necessary details, with the first email sent on June 7. However, to date, we have not received any resolution or meaningful update. The account manager has not been helpful at all, and keeps sending us the same message without reading our emails. Could you please advise us on how to proceed with this matter? We urgently request assistance, as this issue has been pending far too long. If we do not receive a timely response, we may have to escalate this matter publicly. If you require any additional information, please let us know.

@ColinDMello What if I told you that it is designed to bail out the builders who are sitting on unsold inventory. Would you still say it is "narrow in scope" ?

The Ford government's new HST rebate is being criticized as too narrow in scope. The province says it's currently setting aside $500-million/3 years, enough for 2k homes a year. The minister of housing says "there's some" homes in the province that would qualify. #onpoli

By rebating the provincial portion of the HST, we’re saving first-time homebuyers up to $80,000 off the cost of a new home! This rebate will bring homeownership in reach for thousands of young families across Ontario.
Peter Bethlenfalvy@PBethlenfalvy

In the face of global economic uncertainty, it’s never been more important to make life more affordable. That’s why our government is rebating the HST for first-time home buyers on new homes valued up to $1 million — saving families up to $80,000! #OnFES2025

This from April 10 2025....... "The Liberal plan also calls for boosting the number of RCMP personnel by more than 1,000, and hiring 1,000 new CBSA officers to crack down on the smuggling of drugs, guns and cars. " So you are adding a 1000 more to this ???

Canada’s new government just released the Housing Design Catalogue.   It has 50 standardised housing designs that builders will use to streamline approvals, cut through red tape, and get millions more homes built, faster.

Big news, Toronto. Canada’s new government is making big upgrades in infrastructure that will enable more than 60,000 new homes to be built. We’re getting the housing supply up, so your costs come down.

The federal government’s ‘voluntary’ gun confiscation has reminded me that I need to visit a gun range. I had been waiting for warm weather & then had cataract surgery in Spring. Can anyone recommend one to me that is in the GTA? Preferably not too far from Brampton. Thanks!

@TheophanesRex @GrahamCart52267 You say....politicians are forced to do things that people want. And that's how politics works. Is that what's happening in the USA? (I am not agreeing or disagreeing with what they are doing)

@GrahamCart52267 “Good sense” 🙄🙄 They were forced to do it because of a huge outcry among Canadians & plummeting poll numbers. It was self-preservation, not ‘good sense’.

This is the funny thing, is that Canadians are still going on about this like it wasn't already dealt with. I don't like Trudeau, but he or someone in his cabinet at least had the good sense to take care of this.

Im sure they have their ass covered in the fine print, to be able to sell at whatever price they want. Just as nothing happened when people went to court for a development in Vaughan where the developer cancelled the project so that they could re-sell the project at the higher market prices. It was a clear case of FUCKERY by the developer, but there were absolutely zero consequences. There are many such issues, which have contributed to the crisis in Ontario, the Landlord Tenant Board being another one of them. Low interest rates is not the sole cause of the entire problem.
