Things that should be taught in high school: - Financial literacy - Taxes - How to have healthy relationships - Not to leave 1-star amazon reviews because the postal service damaged your package.

@fsultonov77 @ramit why all or nothing? there is also a world where the trust manager didn’t rob them with fees while providing returns closer to the index while mitigating for downside and misuse of funds

@ramit There are tons of instances that people like Kate would have ended up with $0 if it wasn’t for trusted advisors and rarely people stay invested in S&P 500 without advisors. You know it better. I know you want to sell your books, come on

I spoke to someone who was given a trust at 18 years old worth $800,000. That trust is now worth $1 million… …27 years later It should be worth over $6 million. WHERE IS THE MISSING $5 MILLION? I finally found out

tried getting claude to write funny tweets starting from 9 examples. it generated some okay stuff but nothing that actually made me laugh. then i tried asking it to generate tweets written from its perspective rather than a human's and actually laughed. hmm

Mark Cuban, a really dumb guy, who thinks he’s “hot stuff” but he’s absolutely nothing, is now out there saying that I don’t surround myself with strong women. Actually, he is very wrong, I surround myself with the strongest of women - With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong. This guy is such a fool, he’s constantly on Television being critical, and only for the reason that I tuned him out completely while President because he called incessantly. I told him, very pointedly, “Look Mark, I’ve got a lot of things to do, I just can’t be taking so many pointless calls from you.” In any event, that affected him greatly, because he’s a very insecure guy, and a MAJOR LOSER, always has been and always will be! Nobody likes him, nobody respects him, and he’s unattractive both inside and out! He should go back to talk about the person he was forced to support, because I didn’t want it, Lyin’ Kamala Harris. Also, he’s got no clubhead speed!   I may, in fact, be surrounded by the strongest women in the World, including Heads of Countries, who make Mark look like a “baby!” All strong women, and women in general, should be very angry about this weak man’s statement.

Does anyone else miss conference calls prior to zoom / remote? Kids these days will never appreciate the art of hitting the mute button on one of these bad boys and going “this guy is an idiot right??” during a negotiation and jumping back in without missing a beat

Coming up on Moneywise: - guy starts/sells company. Makes $50m - he lives in a 3,000 person town. - owns a nice office in middle of city, employees dozens of locals - employees use the office like a community center. watch sports w/ fam, use gym, etc. - company has community BBQ, events, charitable stuff regularly That's rich, to me. That's so much better than: - working solo - being worth 2x in NYC - getting rich remotely, alone Having $50m in town where you have impact, can meaningfully change lives, and physically see your impact. $50m is a lot anywhere. But in a smaller town, $50m is like $500m in NYC.

Yusuf Dikeç has become a global star thanks to this image. But why do we love it so much? Why does this picture -- this vibe -- resonate so widely? It's because Dikeç personifies the idea of sprezzatura. Sprezzatura is an old Italian word, commonly used in the world of fashion. You can interpret it a few ways -- here are how some Italian fashion models define it: "the simple and casual attitude to show others your elegance and style" "the art of doing things with ease, without too much effort." "the ability to add a mistake to your look whilst still looking effortlessly good." In my mind, sprezzatura is effortless grace. It's nonchalance. It's peak performance despite not being perfect. It's Gianni Agnelli wearing a wristwatch over his shirt cuffs. It's Usain Bolt prepping for the 100m final in Beijing by eating nothing but Chicken McNuggets -- then breaking a world record. And it's a 51 year old Turkish dude rocking up to the Olympics like it's the third thing on his to-do list that day. No special gear. No lenses. No ear defenders. One hand in the pocket. His regular glasses the only eye protection. It's a rejection of the hyper-optimised, biohacking, perfect-morning-routine, Tim Ferriss / Andrew Huberman way of thinking. Just natural, effortless, performance. And we love it.
