@james_xond I’d argue the smartphone was the catalyst that turned the internet from a tool we used into an environment we live in. It essentially ended the era of 'logging off.

It feels pretty obvious at this point that someone’s going to make billions building a social app that’s just for friends, no AI slop, no brainrot, calm design, chronological feed and no concept of followers

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

If we really cared about creating a world of abundance, instead of FLOCK cameras on every intersection we'd be putting aeroponic towers in every household as to prevent food scarcity. If we really cared about creating a world of abundance we do so by building the capability of every individual, not government handouts. Animals in captivity lose the ability to survive on their own. If we really cared about creating a world of abundance we'd turn every household into a self-sustaining homestead so we're not dependent on the failing infrastructure of distant lands. FOR EXAMPLE, if every household had an aeroponic tower in their home they'd also have biogas (warmth, cooking, electricity) and fertilizer via compost tea. This would make a threat like Hormuz being shutdown cutting off much of the worlds fertilizer supply much less of an issue. People dependent on the government for necessities of life is a slave to the government. Do something the government doesn't like? The cut off your money which means no shelter, food, water, education, electricity, internet. I can't in good faith endorse this idea that the government that's been ruining our lives for generations for the profit of corporations has our best interests at heart. If our government wasn't as corrupt as it is I'd feel differently. Anyone who thinks this is a good idea hasn't been paying attention to the incredible cruelty perpetrated by our government on behalf of their corporate lobbyists. They do not have your best interests at heart. They do not care if their data center ruins your water supply. They don't care if any of their actions, rulings, laws, regulations negatively impact your life or destroy ecosystem. They'll turn everywhere into a biologically dead zone if they could get away with it while profiting from it.

I lived in #Hungary for 13 years. I go back every two months. I know this country the way you only can when you’ve actually lived in it, not from a headline, not from a think tank report. From the streets. From the people. From watching it work. I left Western Europe where I lived for 16 years because I watched something happen there that most people couldn’t name while it was happening. Sovereignty got quietly traded away. The euro came in. Prices followed. Freedoms got smaller. The decisions that used to belong to the people started belonging to the tyrants in Brussels. Hungary watched all of that and said no. They kept the forint. That wasn’t a small thing. That was a signal, this country still answers to its own people first. Today Hungarians vote. And I want to be straight with you about what’s happening around this election. There are credible reports of a planned destabilization, what some are already calling a color revolution, being prepared in the event the results don’t go the way outside forces want. A leaked video shows foreign soldiers planning positions if the Globalists lose. Foreign money has been pouring into this election cycle for months to manipulate the vote (like they did in Poland, Romania, Moldova) Be watchful. Know what that pattern looks like before it unfolds. Is Hungary perfect? No. Of course not. Nobody is. But I’ve walked Budapest at 3am and felt safe. The city is clean. No mass immigration or 400% increases in crime like in Western European nations. The people, some are struggling, sure, that happens everywhere, but they are making their own decisions for their own country. Without asking permission from the people who are out to ruin them. 🇭🇺 Stand strong today, Hungary. The people in that voting booth are the ones who get to decide. Not Brussels. Not outside money. Not foreign soldiers in secret meetings. You. And to all the talking heads, the money and benefits you receive to propagandize for the globalists will be your downfall one day. @PM_ViktorOrban @magyarorszag @magyarorszaghu @HungaryBased #Hungarianelections #savehungary

In Budapest, Hungary, there are no fake Islamic asylum seekers and it is a true paradise. Viktor Orban is a true leader who loves his people. This is why EU politicians hate him.

Human beings do not rise to the level of their ideals. They fall to the level of their systems. New longform: Message to Humanity – Systems Train Us. Appreciate thinkers like @AmyCEdmondson, @M_Heffernan, @emollick, @sidneydekkercom, @jerryzmuller, and @mathbabedotorg, who each in different ways have helped clarify how institutions train behavior, how warning signs get buried, how metrics distort reality, and how AI scales whatever logic a system is already built to reward. Full piece in replies. #MessageToHumanity

I'm building HumanityOS, a free opensource CC0 decentralized isocratic civilization operating system intended to help end poverty globally in pursuit of a united-humanity.us. - Your cryptographic key is your identity, wallet, and login. No accounts, no passwords. - Works offline first, syncs when connected. Local-first for billions of users. - Game engine + real-world tools in one app. Learn by playing, apply in life. - All data hot-reloadable from external files. Modding is a first-class feature. - CC0 public domain. No company owns it. Built by and for humanity. - AI agents are optional first-class citizens. Use them, don't use them, your choice. - Signed profiles replicate across federated servers. No home server, no single point of failure. - Built for every human and every generation after them. This is permanent infrastructure, not a startup. - Individuals govern themselves. Track your own skills, inventory, goals, and contributions. - Households and local groups self-organize. Shared tasks, resources, and decisions stay local. - Communities federate voluntarily. Pool resources, coordinate projects, solve problems together. - Earth-scale transparency. Every resource, every need, every surplus visible to those who opt in. - Civilization-scale cooperation. No presidents, no kings. Isocracy: equal power for every participant.

@StuartDowell_ I strongly believe that if fidesz wins that's the end of Hungary in the EU. There is now way they'll win legitimately and everyone knows that. There's just the way of manipulation of the results and it'll be easy to demonstrate it. Then they'll get the way out of the EU.

Hungarian political scientist Dominik Hejj writing in Interia has set out, in detail, how Viktor Orbán has built an electoral system that gives him multiple layers of advantage, especially at the margins where elections are decided. Postal voting rules, votes cast from abroad, the way recounts are handled, and even the issue of voter rolls that may still include people who are no longer alive. Each of these on its own looks technical. Together, they shape the outcome. If the election comes down to a narrow margin, it will matter a great deal. Below is Hejj’s conclusion, which sets out the implications. "Given that the fate of individual seat and ultimately the parliamentary majority can be decided by several hundred, or sometimes just a few dozen, votes in nearly 30 "battleground" districts, each of these loopholes gains political weight. This system design means that the opposition party TISZA, despite promising nationwide poll results, enters the contest on unequal terms." wydarzenia.interia.pl/zagranica/news…
