With the exception of the sacred fire, Allan Gardens is being cleared today. No one is receiving housing. Seven people have accepted shelter beds. Two will simply be displaced to nowhere. I can''t stress this enough: in no way has homelessness been "solved" by this action.

It makes me furious that @fordnation can publish an interactive map to find beer after just one weekend but he won’t do the same thing to help any of the 2.3 million Ontarians who can’t find a family doctor. #onpoli #onhealth

Everyone's saying this but "He couldn't fit a whole woman in his head" is SO good, it's one of the main things writing is supposed to do, create phrases that don't make literal sense but still articulate something you often perceive but never heard quite put into words before.

This is the beginning of the end for Tall and Sprawl, which is somewhat of a trademark in Toronto. It’s difficult to capture in words what a seminal policy change this is, for Toronto. And Council did it - no Strong Mayor powers needed! What a win!
