Try not to make eye contact with K-9's as it can be distracting or be taken as a threat depending on the role the dog is performing. Treat them as you would treat a stranger, be cautious, ask questions, never assume and always respect the answers given by the handlers. 4/4

Don't feed, reward, pet or whistle at a K-9. Due to training K-9's shouldn't accept treats or rewards. They get attention for positive effort and successful task completion. They can be aggressive if approached without consent. Acknowledging a K-9 can put someone in harm's way.
