- Private equity is buying up all real estate, making it unaffordable for Americans! (PE owns less than 5% of single family houses)
- You’re “throwing money away on rent”
- People buying luxury cars & fancy vacations are secretly in debt
- Americans are living paycheck to paycheck (median American household has a net worth of $193,000 and $8k in checking/savings. This is a very wealthy country)

Do other moms pass up getting things for yourself because you see how expensive it is? Hub wanted subs for dinner tonight so I get them for kids and him and just 3 little ones is already $18.. his is $10.. plus tax. I say no thanks, I’ll eat leftovers. So I don’t get a sub sandwich because I don’t think I should be wasting money like that. (Even though it’s my husband’s money) 🫤 which then makes me feel left out but really it’s my own choice, but I feel like we really shouldn’t be paying to eat out at all so I’m the one sacrificing and being financially responsible. Am I alone in this? What would you do?

My mom used to do stuff like this and then be like “wow, I would love to be able to buy ___, but we have to spend money on you guys”, so one day, I snapped and said “so tell us no and buy yourself some jeans! It’s fine!” She didn’t know what to say. She also didn’t buy the jeans.
