Just back in Twick. Forgot it was the draw off at this time of year. Will have to get out the rain boots and have a walk along the river bed. Hope to see more than a shopping trolley!

Finally getting back into watching F1 again. Its good to be back. Maybe I can return to actually going to a race again next year. Fingers crossed

March 2021. A woman is arrested by the Metropolitan Police for holding a peaceful vigil in memory of a woman suspected to have been murdered by a member of the Metropolitan Police. This is more wrong than I can possibly express.

Appalled by the @metpoliceuk handling of the protests on Clapham Common this evening. Instead of facilitating a safe and peaceful protest, the shocking scenes of largely male police officers manhandling female protesters is grotesque. #ReclaimTheseStreets

@TwickerTown The vigil should have been allowed to go ahead & Scotland Yard should have engaged more constructively with the organisers. The response looks disproportionate. As one of your councillors & as a liberal, my view is that some of the Covid legislation around protest is draconian.

Cressida Dick has some questions to answer about the heavy handed response to the desire to hold vigils & protest, and what looks like a heavy handed response on Clapham Common. The problem is I wouldn’t trust Priti Patel to ask the right questions.

@TwickerTown @metpoliceuk I said earlier the vigil should have been allowed. The fact people would gather nonetheless in light of recent events was predictable and understandable. The policing was unacceptably heavy handed, and not seen in other UK cities.

Terrible handling of tonight's vigils by @metpoliceuk. Full inquiry needed - it's completely unacceptable.
