@SnottyNapkins Wild bro, everyone on CT should be bull posting PEPE even if they don’t hold it
English

@Jradzz1 @TeamHandBuilt @JeffMossDSR For some reason I thought he was looking for more. Signed Cobb a month before JV signed with SF. Would be curious to get more info on the negotiations and bonuses.
English

@TwigJ69 @TeamHandBuilt @JeffMossDSR Verlander ended up getting 15 mil from the Giants, idk what source you have that he was looking for more.
Either way, Scott got it wrong with signing Cobb over Verlander. Verlander said so as much. He wanted to come back after Houston series.
English

Justin Verlander clearly wanted to return to Detroit. So I’m not sure why that didn’t happen when Scott Harris signed a broken down Alex Cobb.
Or when he added Chris Paddock. Or Charlie Morton. Or even Drew Anderson for 7 million this offseason.
If not for the Reese Olson injury this doesn’t happen. And I really dont understand anything that led up to that point.
English

@Jradzz1 @TeamHandBuilt @JeffMossDSR Verlanders price was more than 15 at that time. Cobb despite the injury is 4 years younger
English

@TwigJ69 @JeffMossDSR For 2 months of JV it wouldnt have cost any major prospects
English

@confusion_reign @JeffMossDSR Dudes can’t put their bias and emotions away from 12 years ago
English

@JeffMossDSR Yes, obviously you’d rather have JV because you don’t watch baseball or know who plays on other teams and want the guy you recognize. I totally get it. That’s now how they run the team though. Sometimes performance varies in baseball- again, if you followed it, you’d know that
English

Hey dipshit, Verlander and Cobb signed for the same money and I would have gladly advocated for a rebound from JV than the guy who Scott Harris had to talk out of RETIREMENT. And there indicators in July that JV wasn’t as bad as some of his numbers indicated and I sure as shit would have rolled the dice on him over Chris Fucking Paddock.
Robert James@confusion_reign
@JeffMossDSR Because JV was terrible at the end of 2024 and wasn’t even rostered when the Tigers swept his team, whereas Cobb started playoff games for CLE. And Verlander still looked bad in July which is why no team traded for him. If you followed baseball at all this would make sense
English

@JeffMossDSR Anderson was signed as SP6 or maybe even 7 and was fine to also work out of the bullpen.
Why would you sign Verlander if you didn't have a guaranteed rotation spot for him? He's not starting over Olson if he's healthy.
English

@TeamHandBuilt @JeffMossDSR Great homecoming and love the signing. Think he will produce. But the move didn’t make sense until now
English

@JeffMossDSR He’s not a mascot. Can’t bring him in for just the hell of it
English

@JeffMossDSR Why hasn’t anyone said this? The Alex Cobb is the insane thing

$USELESS price action has objectively been crazy brutal recently
new lows and currently 92% down from ATH
i didn't expect it to go as low, but this isn't uncharted territory for memecoins
$BONK, $DOGE, $SHIB, $FLOKI, etc all had several 90 - 95% plus pullbacks before they first hit billions
so a memecoin being down 92% (or more) does not mean it is 'dead'
if anything, the recent happenings in crypto is a bull case for a memecoin like USELESS + volume, mindshare, and community engagement remain pretty strong when you consider current sentiments for crypto in general and especially memecoins
USELESS has also historically acted like levered $BTC, so it isn't too surprising that it crashed so aggressively with BTC hitting new lows to levels it had never seen since Oct 2024 (i.e. before Trump became president and 7 months before USELESS was launched)
it probably ends up being top gainer as usual on the rebound up
so, do i still think USELESS is going to billions? absolutely!
my resolve remains and my conviction remains unshaken
maybe the timeline plays out differently than i originally anticipated, and that's okay, but i remain convinced in the destination being the same: BILLIONS
of course, there will be the usual gravedancers coming at me with pitchforks for 'daring to talk about USELESS in an environment like this'
they were louder during the first USELESS crash from $40m ATH to $4m, before it went parabolic and did an 100x to $400m+ ATH... and $USELESS did not have a fraction of the advantages it has in its favor now at the time (i.e. t1 CEXs like Coinbase/Kraken/etc, consistently strong volume, provenance, mindshare, etc)
as always, it's easier to gravedance instead of buy when things get ridiculously brutal and then come and start crying 'cabal' and 'manipulation' when price reverses aggressively and new highs are made

Best case for this whole ecosystem: Gold/Silver wicks a bottom, CT bros are grave dancing, Silver does the impossible and doubles its price with a top around $212. You have retail winning. News and crypto hit, and the general markets want to risk on since they've made their money's worth on a risk-on asset. For now, the dollar gets weaker and BTC sidechops, waiting for the liquidity injection after the precious metals. Retail, who is now on precious metals, starts looking at other assets besides Gold/Silver, and the mega bull market starts for crypto.
