The 2020 Summer of Love rioters did billions of dollars worth of damage to their own cities, killed over 20 people, and never felt the weaponization of the government. In fact, the government helped them, politicians bailed them out of jail, and many received compensation. @its_me_jd_again committed the crime of journalism on J6. No violence. No property damage. Because of four made-up misdemeanor charges, his family was SWATTED by 20 federal agents and local LEOs. He then served six months in a medium-security federal prison, where he was the ONLY misdemeanor convict. JD's story isn't an isolated exception of J6 prosecutorial misconduct; it is an example of the rule. He and so many others deserve compensation for what they were put through. You can fairly argue against compensating the most violent provocateurs ... but not against those who suffered in the manner of JD and his family.
