@libsoftiktok Controller here. This happens a lot believe it or not. Not always to this degree of severity, but there's thousands and thousands of flights every hour, pilots are humans, and trust me, they're very capable of making mistakes.

@VertexArchive You would have seen them if you learned drafting before it was pretty much computerized. We used straightedges, T-squares, compasses, a variety of triangles, templates, and French cures.

I had never seen these before, but some Googling reveals that these items are templates known as French or Burmester curves! They often come in a set of three, not two en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_cu…

Marching bands are a great way to teach responsibility, teamwork, discipline and the value of hard work. I was in the Coral Gables Band program in the mid sixties and it was great. We all loved the Director, Bill LeDue (Uncle Willy). That program is now gone.
