@libsoftiktok Controller here. This happens a lot believe it or not. Not always to this degree of severity, but there's thousands and thousands of flights every hour, pilots are humans, and trust me, they're very capable of making mistakes.
Waking up to some sad news this morning, Vertexers. @NYTGames is discontinuing our beloved game and the last puzzle will be published at the end of the month. First, I'd like to thank @burgess for all his amazing works of art over the past four years

@ALivepd Merthiolate and Mercurochrome were taken off the market in the 70's because of mercury content. Just another thing that made us stronger while growing up.
I remember Merthiolate stinging like crazy.
Too dangerous for today's kids.
Really? Paramedics to check on a few cat scratches?
What's up with this generation?
As a kid, I almost died many times and all I got was Methiolate and a bandaid...if I was lucky.

@VertexArchive You would have seen them if you learned drafting before it was pretty much computerized. We used straightedges, T-squares, compasses, a variety of triangles, templates, and French cures.
I had never seen these before, but some Googling reveals that these items are templates known as French or Burmester curves! They often come in a set of three, not two

@EACOOP012@VertexArchive TIL: "ZA" has become just another term for Pizza. So ZA Pizza is redundant.
Not only do we find it in SF, but the term seemed to spread across the US.
