75 years ago, Harmon Dobson opened the first @Whataburger in Corpus Christi with a burger so big people exclaimed, “What a burger!” On Aug 8, 1950, burgers cost 25¢ and had buns custom-made for their size. Whataday!

Today marks the 160th anniversary of Juneteenth, a day celebrating the end of Black enslavement in TX. Approximately 250,000 formerly enslaved Texans were granted freedom. Celebrated for generations, Juneteenth became a state holiday in 1980 and a federal holiday in 2021.
