And there it is. The Senate has passed the Respect for Marriage Act granting federal recognition to same-sex marriages by a vote of 61-36. Only 12 Republicans voted in favor of the measure. Will now go back to the House and then to President Biden's desk to be signed into law.

Wonder if we could get non-psych providers a little more versed & comfortable on psychiatric hold & admission processes? Patients admitted under the impression they “can’t possibly be here any longer than 2-3 more days” often can’t focus on any aspect of treatment but discharge.

There is no evidence that family-friendly pride events which happen to include drag performances are detrimental to children. There is decades of evidence that forcing kids to grow up believing they are evil or dirty for who they are is detrimental. Work on something important.

This country is exhausting…Please know that our youth are hearing/understanding every single way in which people in power continue to try to exclude and demean LGBTQ+ people and culture. We exist. We were once kids who weren’t allowed to see adults living their truth. It hurts.
