In 2023, I wrote about being a psychiatrist who lived with suicidal ideation and the need for our society to discuss suicidality openly to decrease stigma.
In April 2025, I wrote about the framework I used to notify others, create goals to keep me alive, cultivate self-love, and radically accept my suicidality when it arose.
In August 2025, I wrote about the framework I use to turn each and every suicidal thought from a seemingly insurmountable force into solvable components.
Today, we move forward in my narrative.
This time, I write to you all to share the four steps I use to navigate and continue my healing journey in the months after my suicidality goes into remission.
Honored to publish in @medpagetoday with my newest piece, “Living After Suicidality: A Physician’s Framework for Healing After Their Suicidality Goes into Remission.”
So much love and gratitude to @genevievefri for the stellar edits along with the thoughtfulness and care she put into collaborating on this article.
