We didn't see Dennis Allen's defense last year. That was a veteran DC knowing the roster limitations & not being aggressive w/blitz packages, etc as he's been. Upgrading team speed & coverage ability, DA should get exotic, generating more pass rush, hence "coaching better"

People forget about depth and also what happened last postseason when Loveland left the game late. Roush, at the very least, allows Johnson to run his offense with little variation if Loveland or Kmet go down with injury.

Seeing a decent amount of this, and I get it. OT was the biggest need, premium position. But 3 OT went before them, and next OT didn't go until 29. Bears likely made calculus they can get better starting LT in 2026 round 1 than here. Time will tell if they're right.
