@MatthewMKE98 I said sometime last year if he ever got his BB/9 under 4, he'd be a perennial all-star and Cy Young candidate. If he ever got it under 3 (which I didn't think he'd ever do), he'd be prime Randy Johnson. He's currently at 2.53 BB/9 on the season.

Jacob Misiorowski just became the first player in recorded history to throw 50 pitches at 100+ MPH in one MLB game. 🔥

Assuming he's done for the day, update on Misiorowski's chase for the Brewers strikeout record. Currently has 9.09 K/Start after 11 starts. K/Start he'd need for the record... 28 Starts: 9.43 29 Starts: 9.10 30 Starts: 8.80 31 Starts: 8.52 32 Starts: 8.25

@4onfloorGT @GunloverClub1 This is like arguing in a real firefight you'll have an enemy shooting at you so they should have other people shooting live rounds at these guys to prepare for the reality of needing to use cover.

@GunloverClub1 Lotsa tactical experts here. I wouldn't do this, however, you could make a case for this drill. It is conceivable that a 2-man team may have to cross in FRONT of a partner in a firefight and if you have only ever used a safe firing line w/ RSO watching, you might be ineffective.

This is a disaster waiting to happen. Proof that just because you have camo and a Gucci'd out rifles, it doesn't mean you know what you're doing.

I'm doubting my original thought that it's predatory. Tatis was the #30 ranked international prospect and hadn't played a minor league game yet. Looking at #30 ranked international prospects from the 2010s, no others made the majors. It would've been a good deal for the other 9.
Baseball's Not Dead@dead_baseball

Predatory, but Duggs is right, not a loan. There's no default if Tatis never makes a dime in MLB and pays $0. It's closer to buying dividend stock from a company. At the time he was a low-level prospect, never played in the minors, and was a throw-in in a salary dump trade.

@UnrealizedPains @CoachDuggs Your only responses are "you're wrong" "you're a baffoon" "you don't understand" and "re-read that" without any explanation of how this resembles a loan. I think we're done here.

@UnrealizedPains @CoachDuggs BTW, the judge said it was not a loan in their ruling... "BLA's payment is not a loan and Player is not responsible for paying any amounts to BLA unless he is called up to a major league."

It’s more like venture debt or a convertible note. But importantly, the $2MM payment gets treated as a loan and not income. Also: “Tatis Jr. and his attorney said while dismissing the petition, the judge confirmed that the contract advance should be considered a loan, which opens the door for future legal challenges.”

@AZyy3z @CoachDuggs You fucking retard. It’s structured as a loan. Think of it like a convertible note.

@UnrealizedPains @CoachDuggs This is not a loan. There is no principle, there is no interest rate, there is nor amortization schedule. It's like a venture capital investment. If you have any argument other than "nuh uh," I'm all ears.
