My great-grandfather was part of the last regiment of the Buffalo Soldiers. I'm extremely proud of that! Also, I don't recall any of the Native American tribes out west ever coming to our ancestor's aid to free them from slavery. Correct me if I'm wrong.🤷🏾‍♂️

@Tyfreedmen27 Which is 1 more political party and school than you have. The lineage-based reparations movement still has yet to develop independent political representation, but you continue to worry about what Pan-Africanists are doing.

The anti-colonial struggles in Africa and the Caribbean are led by the Pan-Africanists there. For example, in Guyana the political party which is the most outspoken about imperialism is the OVP. There's another Pan-African group known as ACDA which operates an African-centered school. The problem here is that the ones who are always questioning Pan-Africanism and who are critical of Pan-Africanism can never point to an alternative. They have no institutions, political parties, or anything else that can tangibly advance the African American struggle. Year after year it's the same meaningless discourse from them.

The district is now heavily Caribbean. Clarke prioritizes immigrants over FBA. That's called undermining which is a hostile act.

Y’all need to stop saying the democrats haven’t done anything for Black people, and just leave it at they haven’t done anything for “you.” And in many cases it’s likely that YOU didn’t take advantage of those things that they did do. - Increased HBCU funding and increased Pell Grant funding helped many Black Americans achieve their dreams of going to and finishing college. - Increase in the # of Black businesses receiving SBA loans and grants helped many Black Americans sustain their businesses - The ACA helped many Black Americans with pre-existing health conditions get access to good health care - The Fair Sentencing Act signed by Barack Obama was the jump start for criminal justice reform for non violent crimes - You talk about hate crime laws. Barack Obama made it easier for the federal government to prosecute hate crimes by removing the barrier that the victim must be participating in a federally protected activity. - Joe Biden/Kamala Harris had the lowest Black unemployment rate on record and the smallest gap between White and Black unemployment. - Many Black Americans found relief from high student loan debt under the last administration - Black American farmers were finally getting some justice for years of discrimination.

@fredeb68 @BlackAlphaNetw1 1. We have the 1st Amendment right to petition our gov. over grievances. 2. Congress was supposed to eradicate the badges of slavery under section 2 of the 13th Amendment. Reparations is to remedy the harms for a specific group (i.e. the Civil Liberties Act of 1987).

FBA = “People who deliberately keep a grievance unresolved because resolving it would end their ability to profit from it.” They have a financial incentive to keep the grievance alive, so they sabotage any real path to resolution. It’s 4/20 and we ain’t seen a reparations rally since June 15th, 2024

@ikerock @WmAG_V Both parties use the filibuster to not act on legislation esp for Black Americans (FBA/Freedmen). The George Floyd Policing Act didn't pass because of the filibuster. The filibuster is a made up rule that was used in recent history to stop civil rights legislation in the 60s.
