Big news in education here in Mississippi! @JansenOwen has introduced a bill aimed at giving parents more control over their kids' education. This bill would allow parents to choose a school that’s the best fit for their child without worrying about the sending district blocking their decision.

@shadwhite All you do is shamelessly pick on minority groups to score cheap political points with the lowest common denominator. It’s not a new strategy in MS, but doing it puts you in a camp with some of the worst leaders in the state’s history. Don’t know how you don’t see that.

What a waste. This lesson plan is just some professor’s political ideology masquerading as science. Students are reporting they will be tested on this material next week. If true, that means they’ll be forced to say some of the nonsense in here is true—for a grade.
Lawmakers should put a stop to this. Demand we teach there are only two genders. Stop the flow of taxpayer funds to ridiculous fields of study like LGBTQ rights. Get money flowing to professors who teach real skills. Turn our universities into the engines that will drive our economy forward and train the people our economy will need in the future.

JLM was the first USM coach to give me one-on-one time when I became sports editor of the Student Printz. I can tell you first-hand how she went out of her way to promote her program and her players.
Women’s hoops had a family feel to it, and she had some great teams.
