@UpCastAlex Substance Painter is the standard these days and there should be plenty tutorials to get you started. It doesn't hurt to learn Photoshop either. If you're a student there should be student licence for Adobe, hope this helps.

@TylerHartshorn3 I’ve just gotten into 3D modeling, would you have any recommendations to where I should start to learn texturing my objects?

I've been working on this realistic texture exericise on and off. I purposely restricted myself into putting the majority of details into the textures, over mesh detail. artstation.com/artwork/98Bw4q
