#TheOdyssey is the cinematic achievement everyone before me has hailed it as. When I wasn’t marveling in astonishment and curiosity over Nolan’s filmmaking, I was fully immersed in a saga walking the line of sprawling and grand while also intimate and personal.

I can vouch for this. I actually loved Elliot in the movie to my surprise. And no, they are definitely not Achilles. COMPLETELY different character.

#TheOdyssey is *almost* as good as you want it to be. It's a filmmaking marvel & I was fully engaged throughout. But, at times, the story moves in such a beautiful, jazz-like way that the more stagnant moments suffer by comparison. Small gripe, though. Can't wait to see again.

#TheOdyssey is, literally, a god damned epic. Nolan's most fantastical vision since Interstellar, it feels like the movie he's been winding up to for some time. Stellar cast across the board, but Holland & Morton are MVPs. Also, we need Christopher Nolan's horror movie STAT!

Quick Reaction of #TheOdyssey It's a masterpiece. Definitely one of Nolens best films. Nothing is over stylized. It's old school storytelling. The cast came with it and commanded every moment on the screen. Matt Damen hit all the notes from tortured soul, fearless leader, and flawed mortal perfectly. No gimmicks, no tricks. just a beautiful epic adventure about a man and his PTSD I think critics are going to love it, but casual viewers may be slightly disappointed without seeing a lot of flash, camera tricks and gore. There's a lot to unpack about the why behind the journey. Some viewers may not completely get it and that’s ok. The journey is enough. Regardless this movie is about to make boatloads of money and bring a lot of statues home.
