Recent updates to this. I added just some extra notes so as not to assume a certain level of unity knowledge.

#LOWREZJAM coming up soon, for any Unity devs out there taking part, I've thrown together a quick guide on getting a nice Pixel Perfect look that even works with Post Processing! gist.github.com/TylerCode/439a… Enjoy

@AidinZolghadr Typically for shorter things I use ScreencastOMatic. I have never tried ShareX though so not sure how it compares.

Which program do you use to record part of the screen with sound on Windows? I tried ShareX and Screen2Gif with no alas. #gamedev #indiedev #retweet

@SanderVhove Agreed, needed a C book and when I saw that I knew it was love at first sight 😂

@Tyler_Code Ooh sounds interesting! Making games for the NES really is a lost art.

@SanderVhove Perfect, I will give it a go. I just got a few C books including "Making Games For The NES" which I recommend but that's about all I got.

@Tyler_Code I have not read that one yet, but heard a lot of good things about it! Paging through, it is not about the technical aspect of game design at all, it really is about how to achieve a good feeling game. So I would say definitely something for you to check out 😁

@Tyler_Code Hahaha, I do it too! I open photoshop and just put some random art with a fake UI to dream a bit about what the game could be!

@PPLorux Yeah I'll typically do an "art prototype" early on which helps me define a style but it has no logic in it. Purely art in-engine. In my main game's case I married art and logic about 3 or 4 months into dev.

@Tyler_Code I feel like it's a good way of thinking. Usually I put art pretty early in the dev just to see what my game 'could' feel like. It is supposed to be temporary but most of the time, it turn out to be used in the final version.

@TimKrief I'll never be able to express my appreciation when that happens. Although, sometimes games run worse natively than through proton. Looking at you ARK.

@ZacharyWhitten That is the most elaborate and conflicting description I've seen for any game. 😂

@AmandaJillHill @TehDomicus @itchio Lol I have just fixed or "nerfed" the endless mode feature! It's not live yet but will be rolled into the next patch in time for leaderboards 😂

@TehDomicus @itchio @Tyler_Code Hahahahah YEP. I just told Tyler about the endless mode bug or FeAtUrE. Thank you so much for the feedback and for playing! Post jam updates will probably include a recipe book that shows recipes you've unlocked and a leaderboard. 👀
