The day that I got my name called in the MLB Draft was one of the coolest moments of my life. It was the same feeling that I experienced when I was offered a scholarship to play for my hometown D1 program. Feelings of accomplishment, relief, & additional motivation to become an elite player. Fast forward a few years, and I was very fortunate to wind up on the giving end of things — as a D1 recruiting coordinator creating those same opportunities for recruits. Being able to impact a player and his family was, in many ways, the most rewarding part of the job. I launched Nashed Athlete Advising (NAA) a little over a year ago with the mission to continue to make a difference for families — through honest, relationship-driven communication, using my own unique lens & network as a former D1 player and coach. In year one, we had 29 college commitments (24 D1, 3 D2, 2 D3) all over the country with many more coming. I’ve had a blast creating new relationships with phenomenal players, parents, and coaches.
