@nnrubii people became way too comfortable on social media, we need bullying back

Imagine as a child going through the internet and finding such videos of your father. These are the kind of sons you raise when you only police your daughters but never check what your sons are doing.

@princepandey_ @Ranveertbt That's Sara Arjun, Ranveer Singh's co-star and leading lady in Dhurandhar: The Revenge. She plays Yalina Jamali, his on-screen wife/love interest, in her Bollywood debut. Great BTS shots!

I just wanted to say, one of the most underrated features of Indian culture is reverence for teaching. It's comparable to the Chinese cult of grind. Indians eagerly recognize others as gurus, and equally eagerly share what they know. This should be a bigger source of soft power.

@banana_sethhh that's why I specifically mentioned those.. those islanders got actual taste compared to here, except North East folks. Find me a Black Lagoon cosplayer here these days, let alone Black Butler..
English

@TysonBoiii 😭 Bro south East Asia had one of the biggest anime following in ealry 2000s, go to flicker and search up animax conversions from 2008 or 2009.
English

How come we never see these so-called cosplayers, cosplay characters from early 2000s anime?
It's always the mainstream.

Ufotable have reportedly NEVER stated that 'Witch on the Holy Night' (Mahoyo) Anime Movie was slated for a Late 2023 Release so it technically was never delayed in the first place. the 2023 date originated from TYPE-MOON Ace magazine reporting early on in the project, where a target window was mentioned. But this was informal and not part of an official Ufotable statement.

@VIZMedia So license Adachi Mitsuru's work in english and I'll buy it. Hell I literally went out my way during my Japan trip to go and find official merch from his work. But I'ma keep reading and re-reading his work "illegaly" because there ain't no other way. Ya'll can suck it.

@banglani @DesertFox_1409 @aakancvedi Giant Robo? On Doordarshan? When did Doordarshan become this based? I only watched Giant Robo The Animation OVA, that's how I recognised 💔🥀
English

@DesertFox_1409 @aakancvedi Giant Robot, on Doordarshan in the mid to late 80s. We loved it more than anything else on television. Because it was the coolest thing ever.

Most entertainment in India (like most places in the world) was imported from the US. For decades, no one could beat the US’s domination, but somehow in the early 2000s Japan took over children’s entertainment in India
When I realised this sometime ago, I had two big questions, first of course, how did they beat US to this, and second, of all the countries in the world, how come Japanese cartoons caught on in India?
Answer was very simple, Indian TV networks needed to fill hours and hours of children’s programming every day but American kids’ content licences were very very expensive, episode counts were limited, and branding rules were tight (like you could not give advertisement slot to xyz during cartoon abc cause abc’s parent company is in competition with xyz)
The ad revenue simply wouldn’t justify the hassle
So Indian networks looked for kids entertainment from across the world, but nothing made sense, stories and cultures were too difficult to translate to an indian audience
But then they came across Japanese studios like Toei, Shin-Ei, TV Toky, etc. They sold massive episode libraries at low cost and made shows about routine activities that were very relatable for an Indian kid, say for example going to school, hanging out with friends, small everyday challenges and lessons from them, etc which made them ridiculously easy to dub and present to an Indian audience
This went on for sometime, until early 2010s when Indian studios started creating stronger IPs that caught on and closed the era of Japanese cartoons

@weeb_ams will see in theatres at the end of the month, let's see.
English

@weeb_ams by the taste of Ufotable unlikely.
Can't think of anyone in my mind except Madhouse since both Alita and Claymore were once made by them.
But again.. I believe Production IG can be suitable for Alita.
For Claymore, Bones Films.
