I’ve spent *just* a week on my “PS2 era only for a whole year” experiment and…it’s SHOCKING how much more engaging and unique each game felt when it wasn’t all chasing the same three genres and formulas. We had it all.

The STS board game on the other hand... Banger game. Playing co-op with a few friends around the table is a great experience and I have all the time in the world for that. Would thoroughly recommend if anyone's interested 🤙🏼

As a Monster Train giga fan I really want to like Slay The Spire... But it's so fucking bland. Environments are dull, character design/card animation is kept to a minimum, the soundtrack does NOT bang. I know the gameplay and mechanics are there... I just can't get into it ⚔️

Can't believe I didn't play Talos Principle sooner 🤯 Game only has a handful of "mechanics" but the way it combines those mechanics and pushes each one to the limit is insane. Love some of the meta(?) puzzles for gold stars - proper 200 IQ giga brain stuff 🧠 10/10 for sure

Mario Adventure 2 is definitely up there as one of the most enjoyable & impressive SM64 romhacks I've played. I rate it highly regardless but if you like both SM64 & Sonic Adventure 2 it's a must play
