In light of numerous rumors about possible procedural actions against me, today I personally visited the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine to clarify the situation. I had a constructive conversation with NABU detectives that lasted over two hours.

🇺🇦 Today is a historic day for Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada has supported a bill No. 11469 on the introduction of multiple citizenship, initiated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This decision is an important step toward preserving and restoring connections with millions of Ukrainians worldwide. This also brings Ukraine closer to the European Union and to 130 democratic countries where multiple citizenship is already a common practice. Grateful to the members of parliament for their support and to all who contributed to making this happen!

Following our work with the Federal Minister of the Interior of Austria, Gerhard Karner, and his team, we have achieved important joint progress. The Austrian side reaffirms its support for Ukraine’s initiative to establish Unity Hubs as platforms for fostering dialogue, resilience, and cohesion among Ukrainian communities abroad. We share a common vision of these Hubs as a tool to strengthen cooperation and support inclusive recovery and sustainable development. In addition, we continue working to create favourable conditions for the safe and dignified voluntary return of Ukrainians when circumstances allow. We will work together, including through the development of the Unity Hubs, to support returnees by ensuring access to services, information, and community-based support tools. I thank our Austrian partners and Mr. Karner personally for their unwavering support for Ukraine and their openness to continued cooperation!

I held a meeting with the newly appointed Director General of the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (@ICMPD), Susanne Raab, and the current head of the organization, Michael Spindelegger. ICMPD develops and implements migration policies in close cooperation with governments across Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Its expertise is particularly valuable for countries seeking balanced solutions in the areas of migration, integration, and the return of citizens. We discussed the progress of our joint initiatives — in particular, the opening of a Unity Hub in the Czech Republic. This decision was formally confirmed in a Joint Declaration that I signed together with the First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of the Interior of the Czech Republic, Vít Rakušan, on May 5 this year. Active preparations for the launch of the Hub in Prague are currently underway. Our Ministry and ICMPD teams are in constant contact to coordinate all organizational and procedural matters. We are also preparing for joint efforts in Berlin. Grateful to ICMPD for its consistent support of Ukraine!

🇺🇦🇨🇿Together with the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Lukáš Vlček (@MinistrVlcek), I opened the Business Club Ukraine meeting in Prague. I expressed my gratitude to the Ministry and to Mr. Vlček personally for supporting the Business Club Ukraine initiative. This is a relevant and highly demanded platform for fostering business ties and launching new projects in the context of Ukraine's recovery. I emphasized that despite the ongoing war, Ukraine is focused on the future. We clearly understand that once sustainable peace is achieved, driving economic development, attracting investment, advancing urgent reforms, and creating new jobs will be our top priorities. That is why formats like Business Club Ukraine play such an important role. Together with the Minister, we also held a meeting of the Co-Chairs of the Ukrainian-Czech Joint Commission on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation. We discussed the results of joint initiatives and the prospects for expanding economic, investment, and scientific-technical cooperation. In particular, we agreed to establish a permanent Working Group on Digitalization, Digital Innovation, and Technology. I emphasized that the work within the framework of the Ukrainian-Czech Joint Commission is an important tool for developing a strategic partnership in our common European future.

🌍 Participated in the 20th anniversary GLOBSEC Forum in Prague. At the Forum’s opening, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy (@ZelenskyyUa) emphasized: respect for human life is not just a moral value, it’s a security factor. That’s why our joint policy must include support for those who value life – and restrictions on those who show contempt for it. This can only be done at the level of all Europe and the Euro-Atlantic community. 🇺🇦 During my remarks at the panel “Ukrainians Abroad: Strengthening Human Capital and Global Ties for National Renewal,” I underlined that there is no nation that desires peace more than Ukraine. A lasting peace will become the key motivation for millions of Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homeland because of the war to consider returning. The mission of post-war Ukraine is to focus on economic development that will further strengthen this motivation. At the same time, it is crucial to continue building ties with Ukrainians wherever they are. In this context, the introduction of multiple citizenship and the development of our Unity Hubs across Europe play an exceptionally important role. In my speech, I also expressed gratitude to our European partners who continue to support Ukraine and Ukrainians during this decisive period for our country. In particular, we greatly appreciate the proposal to extend temporary protection until March 4, 2027. 🤝 On the sidelines of the Forum, I also met with our trusted partners: Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala (@P_Fiala), Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković (@AndrejPlenkovic), and Paymaster General and Minister for the Cabinet Office of the United Kingdom Nick Thomas-Symonds (@NickTorfaen). I thanked them for their unwavering support of Ukraine and our people. There is strength in unity!

🇺🇦🇨🇿 Started my working visit to the Czech Republic by joining URBIS 2025 in Brno — a leading exhibition and conference platform focused on innovative solutions for smart cities. Visited the Ukrainian stand Contact Ukraine 2.0 — an important space for dialogue between Ukraine and the Czech Republic on digitalisation, reconstruction, and sustainable urban development. Among the participants — representatives of municipalities, academia, and innovative companies from across Ukraine. Once again convinced: Ukraine has great potential to become a successful post-war nation. International platforms like URBIS highlight our innovation, openness to cooperation, and strong European aspirations. Also had the opportunity to meet with the Mayor of Brno, Markéta Vaňková (@VankovaBrno). Grateful for her support for Ukraine, her firm stance in condemning Russian aggression, and the welcoming environment the city has created for over 20,000 Ukrainians who found refuge here since the start of the full-scale invasion.

Had a productive meeting with Karolina Lindholm Billing (@KarolinaBilling), Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Ukraine. We discussed preparations for an important upcoming event in Kyiv — “Human Capital Dimension at URC2025: Focusing on Return and Recovery” — scheduled for June 17. This event will serve as a key milestone ahead of the URC 2025 and lay the foundation for the Human Capital designated track. I expressed my gratitude to UNHCR for their valuable expert support. We also focused on our joint efforts to develop a Concept of Return for Ukrainians, aimed at establishing a unified approach, clear methodological materials, and a practical framework to guide the voluntary return process. Additionally, I shared updates on the development of the Unity Hub network, envisioned as a system of coordination centers supporting voluntary return, sustainable reintegration, and strong connections between Ukrainians abroad and their homeland. UNHCR’s global expertise in managing complex displacement situations and upholding human rights is instrumental in shaping a people-centered and sustainable approach to return and reintegration. I thank Ms. Lindholm Billing for a constructive dialogue and for her readiness to continue this important partnership.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 The European Commission has proposed extending temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees until March 2027. This gives Ukrainians in Europe more than 20 months of clarity — time to plan their lives and, when the moment is right, consider returning home. In my recent interview with @euronews , I underlined a core principle of Ukraine’s approach: no one can be forced to return — that would be impossible. The only true motivation is a successful Ukraine and love for the homeland. Read and watch the full interview: euronews.com/2025/06/05/kyi…

🇺🇦🇪🇺Met with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas (@kajakallas). We discussed the future of temporary protection for Ukrainians in EU countries. As long as active hostilities continue, its extension remains extremely important. We agreed that the return of our people must be a conscious decision, preceded by a sense of security and confidence in the future. A sustainable peace is the necessary precondition for this. Ms. Kallas reaffirmed her unwavering support for Ukraine and emphasized that a full and unconditional ceasefire must be achieved for Ukrainians to return home. I am sincerely grateful for her leadership, deep understanding of our challenges and solidarity with the Ukrainian people.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 Important news from Brussels – the European Commission has proposed to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until 4 March 2027! 📌 Today, together with EU Commissioner for Home Affairs @magnusbrunner , we presented the European Commission’s initiatives for continued support of our citizens who were forced to flee due to the war. I sincerely thank our European partners for their strategic leadership and genuine solidarity with the Ukrainian people. 🤝 This means stability, safety, and access to essential services for millions of our fellow citizens across the EU. 🟡 Another strategic step – the European Commission's decision to establish the position of Special Envoy for Ukrainians in the EU. Their task will be to enhance coordination, advocate for the interests of Ukrainians, and implement practical support tools, including the Unity Hub network. Together with international partners, including IOM and UNHCR, we are also developing mechanisms for the voluntary return of Ukrainians. Our goal is to jointly create the conditions for Ukrainians to return home safely, with dignity, and at the right time. We are not walking this path alone — thank you to all our partners for your trust, support, and joint work for the sake of our shared future.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 You may have seen reports about the future of temporary protection for Ukrainians in the EU. The Ministry of National Unity is closely monitoring the situation. Our position is clear: we defend the rights of all Ukrainians forced to flee due to Russia’s aggression. Next week in Brussels, I will join consultations on extending temporary protection. We believe it must remain in place until lasting peace is achieved. At the same time, we must acknowledge that this status cannot be extended indefinitely. 🤝 We thank our European partners for their continued support and are working together on effective, people-focused solutions.

Met with with the delegation of the International Monetary Fund (@IMFNews) in Ukraine led by Gavin Gray. Grateful for their consistent support amid the full-scale war, especially efforts to maintain macroeconomic stability. We discussed steps to strengthen Ukraine’s economic sustainability. I stressed the vital role of human capital in post-war recovery. No strategy can succeed without people — those who protect, heal, teach, and rebuild. Investing in decent living and working conditions is key to Ukraine’s future. 🤝 Thanks to our partners for standing with Ukraine!

🇺🇦 Together with President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy (@ZelenskyyUa), I met with representatives of national minorities and indigenous peoples of Ukraine. We discussed challenges related to granting Ukrainian citizenship to representatives of other nations. I informed them that the draft law on multiple citizenship has already passed the first reading, and preparations for the second reading are underway. Ukrainians today are united not by blood, but by shared values, freedom, and love for Ukraine.
