Still feels surreal to say that I successfully defended my PhD viva with no corrections. Huge thanks to my examiners (Prof Rosser and Prof Rohrer) and to my incredible supervisors (Prof Tabrizi, Prof Scahill and Prof Wild) for their guidance and support throughout this journey. I’m also forever grateful to everyone @UCLHD @UCLIoN who supported me along the way. As written in my thesis dedication: for the #HD community. #PhDone 🥳

The current HD-ISS doesn't incorporate wet biomarkers. Dr. Mena Farag discusses the promising results of proenkephalin and other biomarkers to help monitor the earliest stages of HD before the onset of motor symptoms. @MDJ_Journal movementdisorders.org/Podcasts/CSF-p…

1/5 Sarah Tabrizi (@UCLHD)🇬🇧 Focus: Neurodegenerative Disease Nature calls her a "Hero." Our map shows why: She sits at the perfect intersection of basic neurology and clinical application. Look at the density of her clinical trial connections compared to pure lab research. 🔗 bohrium.com/scholar/4236B1… #Huntingtons #Neurology #ClinicalResearch

We're delighted that Professor Sarah Tabrizi (@UCLIoN) is part of Nature’s 10, a list of people who shaped science in 2025. Her team's global trial at @UCLHD showed a new Huntington’s treatment could slow progression by 75%. nature.com/articles/d4158…

I am incredibly honoured to share that I have been awarded the @UKDRI PhD Prize at #Connectome 2025! My heartfelt thanks go to my superb PhD supervisors (Professors Sarah Tabrizi, Rachael Scahill and Ed Wild) and to my thesis committee (Professors Geraint Rees and Henrik Zetterberg). I’m also very grateful to all our collaborators, and to my supportive colleagues and friends @UCLHD @UCLIoN. Above all, I want to thank the incredible #HD-YAS participants, whose commitment, generosity and time have made this work possible. As my PhD journey comes to an end, it has been a privilege to contribute to research that brings us closer to preventive therapies for Huntington’s disease, and I’m truly humbled to receive this recognition.
