Excited to kick off my fellowship with two amazing co-fellows, Rumzah and Parvir! The vibes are already immaculate. The very few days of orientation are already wrapped and tomorrow is my first ever GI clinic as a fellow. Ready (I think) for what’s to come😬 @UConnGI #GITwitter

Thrilled to join Dr Neil D. Parikh (@GastroNDP) on his podcast under Food as Medicine series to dive into the nutritional power of beans! 🫘

🌱 What’s What: Legumes = beans + peas + pulses; pulses are the dried seeds—and beans are the protein-&-fiber MVPs!
💪 Protein Power: Just ½ cup cooked delivers ~7–9 g of plant protein—your easy meat alternative.
🌾 Fiber Fuel: 5–9 g fiber per ½ cup helps you stay full, supports gut health & tames inflammation.
Huge thanks to Neil D. Parikh for this exciting opportunity—and to all of you for tuning in! @UConnIM @UConnGI

Hepatomegaly?
Splenomegaly?
Low HDL?
Think Gaucher’s or Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency. Both are treatable. Both have HDL as an inverse biomarker of severity
