Brands EXPECT you to negotiate. When they offer $200, they've budgeted $300. A simple 'I appreciate this, my rate for that scope is $325, could we meet somewhere in between?' gets you an extra $75 every single time.

My script reads used to take 45+ minutes aaand now i'ts down to 15 ever since I became part of the teleprompter club 💃🏼 I used to ramble, lose my flow, and restart over and over trying to “sound natural" and it NeVeR actually saved me time. Now I know what I’m saying, how I want it to feel, and it flows! I'm never sitting there reading it word for word, but it's a guide that keeps my tone and flow📸 Less overthinking and restarting changed it all! #ugccreator #ugc #ugccommunity

Offered $50/video for "quick" videos. I'm not just "working," I'm licensing my likeness. I don't think about this as by-the-hour work where the amount of work defines the rate. I look at it from the value to the brand. Since I'm part time, too, where I put my time is important.
