We agreed that Ugandan deportees from the UAE would be charged a competitive/reduced fee of $200 for a one way air ticket to Entebbe and an offer of one bag, and all Uganda Consulate staff would benefit from a reduced rate of 10% for a return ticket between Entebbe and Dubai.

We had discussions centered on: 1. How to spur trade volumes between the UAE and Uganda especially vegetables, fruits and precious minerals, 2. The MoU signed between Uganda and the UAE on labor externalization in 2019 and which emphasizes exportation of professionals,

We hosted Rt. Hon. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of East African Affairs, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga at Uganda's Consulate in Dubai. She was accompanied by officials from Private Sector Foundation as well as Uganda Export Promotion Board (UEPB). @ugandaexports @RebeccaKadagaUG

I held a meeting with the Area Manager of AirArabia, Mr. Ahmed Yakout on the possibility of increasing the airline's market presence in Uganda. I also called upon the airline to focus on cargo and concessionary tickets to stranded Ugandan nationals. @airarabiagroup @UgandaMFA
