The Uganda High Commission in London paid its respects at the Embassy of the Republic of Botswana following the passing of His Excellency Festus Gontebanye Mogae, former President of the Republic of Botswana and one of Africa’s most distinguished statesmen. The Mission was represented by Counsellor Secretary Mr. Guma Komiswa, who conveyed heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the Government and people of Botswana during this time of mourning. His Excellency Mogae will be remembered for his exemplary leadership, humility, integrity, and steadfast commitment to good governance, economic stewardship, and the advancement of the African continent.
