The Uganda High Commission in London paid its respects at the Embassy of the Republic of Botswana following the passing of His Excellency Festus Gontebanye Mogae, former President of the Republic of Botswana and one of Africa’s most distinguished statesmen. The Mission was represented by Counsellor Secretary Mr. Guma Komiswa, who conveyed heartfelt condolences and solidarity to the Government and people of Botswana during this time of mourning. His Excellency Mogae will be remembered for his exemplary leadership, humility, integrity, and steadfast commitment to good governance, economic stewardship, and the advancement of the African continent. This evening, Rt. Hon. Prime Minister @R_Nabbanja hosted Rt. Hon. @Thomas_Tayebwa, together with Uganda’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Amb. Nimisha Madhvani, and a group of potential investors from the UK, at her residence in Kampala. The business delegation from Westminster Africa Business Association is part of a group that visited Uganda in February following an invitation by the Premier, on behalf of H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni, to explore investment opportunities. They returned to witness the inauguration of H.E. President @KagutaMuseveni and hold further business engagements.
