It was a true privilege to engage with colleagues and partners at the #Macao Community Healthcare Summit - an invaluable opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and explore future collaborations that will strengthen our shared goals. This summit reaffirmed that family medicine is a cornerstone of primary health care #PHC - and an essential pathway to achieving universal health coverage #UHC. Strengthening PHC systems not only enhances pandemic and health emergency preparedness in our interconnected world - but also ensures equitable, people-centered care. Truly, #PHC brings health to where people are - and I urge the 38 Member States and areas in our Western Pacific Region to invest all the more in this cornerstone of public health. The discussions and networking moments at the summit are vital steps toward achieving resilient health systems across the Western Pacific and beyond.
