UIDAI and Telangana State Police Recruitment Board held a meeting to explore possibilities of consent-based and voluntary Aadhaar based identity verification in police recruitment processes. Discussions focused on streamlining identity verification via Aadhaar Offline Verification, curbing duplication, and enhancing efficiency while upholding privacy, and candidate rights throughout the recruitment lifecycle. Telengana State Police Recruitment Board Chief Sh VV Srinivasa Rao, Deputy Director General (Aadhaar Usage) of UIDAI Sh Vivek C Verma, Deputy Director General RO Hyderabad Smt P. Sangeetha, Director (Aadhaar Usage) Lt Col Praveen Chaudhary and other senior officials attended the meeting at Hyderabad.

CEO, UIDAI Sh. Bhuvnesh Kumar shared a forward-looking perspective on Reinventing Governance: AI, Data and the Future of Public Service Delivery at the Economic Times GovTech Summit & Awards 2026. CEO UIDAI underlined various developments related to Aadhaar and how AI is being used for enhancing ease of living. Advanced AI models are powering critical processes such as face authentication, liveness detection, and document validation etc and further enhancing accuracy, security, and scalability. He spoke about the new Aadhaar App and how it is reimagining identity verification and highlighted, the Show, Share and Verify framework. DD News explains UIDAI’s first structured Bug Bounty programme and how it will further strengthen the security of the Aadhaar system. The programme allows cybersecurity experts to look for possible weaknesses in some of UIDAI’s key digital platforms. If they find genuine security gaps and report them responsibly, they will receive rewards based on the seriousness of the issue. A panel of 20 experienced security researchers and ethical hackers has been selected to take part in the initiative. They will examine UIDAI digital assets such as UIDAI official website, myAadhaar portal and the Secure QR Code application. The researchers will check these systems for vulnerabilities that fall into categories such as Critical, High, Medium, and Low risk.
