Ignacio Ponseti, MD, created a non-surgical treatment for clubfoot at our hospital nearly 80 years ago, and he and his successor, Jose Morcuende, MD, have taught doctors around the world about the treatment. The result: Hundreds of thousands of children born with clubfoot have been able to walk and run. An international symposium held in Iowa City next month will bring more than 300 international doctors together.
