Our team has returned after a tough week of surveying Scottish lochs for the Upland Waters Monitoring Network @UKUplandWaters Zooplankton, eDNA, aquatic plants, temperature & O2 profiles, sediment all done. @QM_SBBS @UK_CEH

Came across several hardy Common #Frogs whilst working in late snow beds at 975 m in the NW #Cairngorms this week. Always surprises me to see them up there, particularly when the nearest standing water (needed for breeding) is c250 m lower and nearly 1 km away. @froglifers
