@stormchaserjs @FPappenberger we are discussing how to deal better with this issue. Generally speaking ECMWF is not bias correcting its forecast products if this is what you meant with BC

There's a problem with ECMWF's calculations of the EC46 weekly temperature anomaly: the Tuesday runs are too cold every week for the NH extratropics. The problem is growing as the seasonal cycle drops off at higher latitudes. Here are the "week 5" maps from the last 3 Tuesdays:

Actually during the same week the @ECMWF European Weather Cloud was also used to support the Data Assimilation training course events.ecmwf.int/event/333/. This cloud can support not only one virtual classroom but many at same time: a Virtual School!
