Today, UNDP & Italy signed a €3M agreement to rehabilitate partially damaged homes in Gaza. 663 homes will be restored, supporting nearly 4,000 displaced people, through a transitional neighbourhood-based recovery approach. Read more: bit.ly/3PfcoP6

Access to services for people with disabilities remains critical in #Gaza Part of a neighborhood approach to provide essential services, @UNDP has supported 1, 568 people with hearing screening services & 102 children with speech therapy - thanks to Germany through @KfW_FZ_int

Thanks to funds from the @ArabFundOrg and in coordination w/ the Government Emergency Room, 232 partially damaged homes have been rehabilitated, enabling over 1,200 people to return to safe housing, prioritizing the most vulnerable. Watch to learn more:

The Investment Programme for Resilience (IPR IV), implemented by UNDP/PAPP and funded by Germany through KFW, is recognized globally as a best-practice example for gender-transformative programming —strengthening #women’s leadership, economic agency, and role in decision-making.

On #InternationalWomensDay, UNDP celebrates the resilience of Palestinian women across the occupied Palestinian territory, particularly in Gaza, as they continue to sustain families and rebuild livelihoods.

The ability for households to cook, clean, and maintain hygiene is impossible without regular water supply. With support from @KSRelief_EN, UNDP has supplied 256,000 cubic meters of drinking water across the #Gaza Strip for displaced communities +43,000 jerrycans for storage.

In #Gaza, families are observing Ramadan amid widespread devastation with resilience & determination. With the Government Operations Room, UNDP has begun supporting vulnerable communities to transition from tents to relief housing units, thanks to Germany (KfW), Korea, & Sweden.

Good to be in Brussels briefing EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs on my recent visit to Gaza. UNDP stayed throughout the war. We are on the ground doing early recovery, clearing debris and installing recovery housing. And we are ready to contribute to Gaza’s reconstruction.

Heavy, emotional day in Gaza. The scale of destruction is beyond imagination, the human toll immense. Yet the resilience of the Palestinian people is just as clear. @UNDP is on the ground, assisting them and kickstarting early recovery. But we want and we need to do more.

Constructive meeting with @HusseinSheikhpl, Vice President of the State of Palestine. We discussed @UNDP’s continued support, under its General Assembly mandate, to improve economic and social conditions and advance recovery for the Palestinian people.

Special day in East Jerusalem, meeting Palestinian people from across city life. Community members, children, shopkeepers and doctors shared their stories. I was struck by their resilience and hope, even when daily life is challenging.

UNDP/PAPP joined @Mosdgov_ps & Local Communities Organization to celebrate the launch of Philistia — a fashion collection created by 40 displaced women from Jenin Camp who were trained by Khitan hub, an initiative supported by UNDP’s IPR III, funded by Germany through KfW.
