In Lebanon, in partnership with @UNDP, we are strengthening the Internal Security Forces @LebISF by improving infrastructure, enhancing operational capacity, and fostering stronger ties with local communities. So far: • Rehabilitation works have started at 3 police stations; • 17 vehicles have been delivered, with 80 more currently undergoing maintenance; • 750 food rations have been provided to support the ISF's presence in south Lebanon. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action.

Together with @OEAHaiti, we are committed to strengthening the Haitian National Police’s capacity to combat gangs and help restore security for Haitian communities and institutions. During her visit to Washington, FPI Head of Unit @IMingassonUE met with our partners at the Organization of American States. They discussed the rehabilitation of several Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), providing urgent support to @pnh_officiel in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Through this partnership, we continue to support efforts to enhance security and stability in the region. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action!

It's a wrap! Through the #EULINKII project, we worked with Libyan partners to strengthen institutions, boost the professional skills of police & military personnel, & improve key infrastructure. Results? ✅More than 500 police officers & over 40 military officers received training ✅Key training & operational facilities were upgraded in Misrata, Benghazi & Wadi Bey ✅Healthcare services in Washka were supported with a new ultrasound machine. This month in Sarajevo, we kicked off the implementation of the third assistance measure for the Armed Forces of BiH 🇧🇦 under the European Peace Facility (EPF). After two support packages already completed, the #EPF will deliver individual protective equipment, night vision devices, cargo vehicles, and individual #CBRN protection tools to support national security and resilience. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action!

Since 2002, the EU has invested ca. €40M in @UNDP_SEESACaction to tackle the threat of illicit small arms and light weapons #SALW in South East Europe. The results: 46 491+ weapons destroyed & 313 851 firearms voluntarily surrendered in the Western Balkans region since 2018. A real, measurable impact for a #SaferRegion. The #EU is stepping up its support for Gaza with a new €15 million programme with @UNDP to accelerate debris removal and strengthen forensic capacities. In Yerevan, 🇦🇲our Head of Service @pmwBxl handed over the first of two humanitarian demining machines the #EU is delivering to 🇦🇲. This machine will help accelerate humanitarian demining, save lives, and support long-term peace, security, and sustainable development. This is only the beginning - we will continue our support, including through training and additional assistance. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action! #MineAction

Today, our Head of Service @pmwBxl discussed confidence-building projects with the Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise along the 🇦🇲-🇦🇿 border, with @theGICHD, @EUSR_SCCiG Magdalena Grono, and @EUAmbArmenia Vassilis Maragos. This is #EUForeignPolicy in action!

The European Peace Facility #EPF helps the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia build its intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and counter-drone capabilities. 🇪🇺 Ambassador Michalis Rokas, 🇲🇰 Prime Minister Mickoski and Minister of Defence Vlado Misajlovski attended the handover ceremony of critical equipment such as thermal cameras, trucks, and radars. The EU Citizens' Gathering took place in Birmingham 🇬🇧. The event celebrated the invaluable contribution of the 5 million EU citizens living in the UK to the EU–UK relationship.
