Rights. Justice. Action. This International Women’s Day, we are reminded that justice is not just a principle, it is a pathway to equality, stability, and human development. Yet today, more than 5 billion people still lack meaningful access to justice, and women and girls continue to face structural barriers that prevent them from fully exercising their rights. At UNDP, we believe that when women lead and justice systems are inclusive, societies become stronger, fairer, and more resilient. From supporting gender-responsive institutions to expanding innovative justice services that reach communities where they are, we are working with partners worldwide to ensure no woman or girl is left behind. Today, and every day, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing rights, strengthening justice systems, and taking action for all women and girls. 💜 Happy International Women’s Day. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2026 #GenderEquality #RightsJusticeAction #ForAllWomenAndGirls

Building a more sustainable cooling sector requires collaboration! On February 23rd and 24th, the Ministry of Planning, Economic Affairs, and Development, in partnership with UNDP, brought together industry leaders, importers, technical experts, and policymakers for a Validation Workshop and Stakeholder Forum focused on the future of cooling in Trinidad and Tobago. Participants reviewed new business models to manage refrigerant and cooling-sector waste under the ODS Banks Project, while also engaging on upcoming energy efficiency standards and digital tools that can improve performance in large-scale cooling systems, the mandate of the Digital Tools in Cooling project. Together, these efforts reflect a synergistic approach to national development and climate action, connecting better waste management, improved energy efficiency, and innovative technologies to build a more sustainable and resilient cooling sector for Trinidad and Tobago. Visit our website undp.org/trinidad-and-t… for more information on these projects. #SustainableCooling 🌍❄️

Let’s take a look back at last Wednesday (4th February 2026), when the UNDP Youth Forum facilitated the National Dialogue on Youth and Inclusive Development. The session brought together youth, government representatives, civil society organizations, schools, and private sector partners for an engaging exchange centred on the Youth Forum’s core pillars of Justice, Gender, and Security. Local youth in Trinidad and Tobago took centre stage, sharing powerful perspectives through spoken word, speeches, and panel discussions that highlighted lived experiences, creativity, and solutions for inclusive development. Youth contributors, including Mr. Jedaiah Joseph, Ms. Jaada Abraham, and many others, used artistic expression to spark reflection on mental health, identity, and social realities, while panel discussions deepened conversations on youth participation, inclusion, and pathways for meaningful engagement. This National Dialogue reflects UNDP’s continued commitment to amplifying youth voices and creating spaces where young people are not only heard but also actively shaping solutions for a more inclusive and resilient future. #UNDPYouthForum #YouthVoices #InclusiveDevelopment #YouthLeadership #JusticeGenderSecurity #YouthDialogue #TrinidadAndTobago #YouthEmpowerment

Join us in co-designing the AI Adoption Network The global AI conversation is moving from ambition to impact. The focus now is on how AI can be adopted safely and at scale in real-world contexts to deliver lasting benefits for people and societies. Across UNDP’s work with governments and partners, it is clear that adoption depends less on individual solutions and more on shared horizontal foundations such as data, compute, skills, institutions, and trust, all shaped by local context. Strengthening these foundations requires coordination across actors. In the lead-up to the India AI Impact Summit, UNDP and the AI Hub for Sustainable Development is working with People + AI and partners to listen to practitioners, surface real-world use cases, and connect them to the partnerships needed to support responsible AI adoption. We invite colleagues, practitioners, and innovators to contribute use cases and help co-design the AI Adoption Network as a space for shared learning and practical collaboration.
