EXCLUSIVE: The University of Glasgow is facing fury from staff and students after its ruling body decided not to divest from weapons firms

The email sent to all staff today has provoked anger, upset and many feel betrayed by the university's senior management. Students, staff and unions will continue to fight for a proper responsible investment policy which reflects the views of the university community. 2/2

We are extremely disappointed in the decision made yesterday by SMG and Uni Court against divestment from arms. Views of students and staff have been completed ignored, despite those who responded to the (poorly communicated) survey voting over 80% in favour of divestment 1/2
