I’m deeply concerned about what I would call the ‘𝗔𝗜 𝗦𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅’. Some leaders seem to have an almost blinded belief that #ArtificialIntelligence will solve all our problems. By simply deploying technologies without solving the underlying societal and managerial problems, we won’t reep the potential benefits #AI has to offer. The Global Fund Advocates Network (GFAN) Africa region annual strategy meeting is now underway in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪 The event will be held between the 9th and 10th of May 2026 Almost 50 representatives of various stakeholders in the African public health services sector drawn from across the continent have gathered in Nairobi I am privileged to attend the meeting in my personal capacity as the Co-Chairperson for the Pan African Parliamentary Taskforce on Domestic Financing for health As a parliamentary champion for domestic financing for health, I strongly believe that the time has now come for Africa to start fully funding its public healthcare services The era of depending on foreign funding from the global North must come to an end Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, and indeed Africa, is rich enough to fully fund its health care services #AbujaDeclaration @_AfricanUnion @AfricaCDC @WACIHealth @GFAN_Africa @GlobalFund @MoHCCZim @naczim
