Darkness is spreading across the Middle East. Civilians, women and children, are paying the highest price. But darkness is not destiny. We still have a choice. Civilians must be protected. International humanitarian law must be upheld. Dialogue must be kept alive. Peace is possible where we uphold the values and principles of the Charter and respect international rule of law.

#Srebrenica reminds us that genocide begins long before violence - with division, discrimination, and dehumanization. Preventing such crimes requires strengthening human rights, institutions, and dialogue every day. This will remain central to @UN_BiH work.
