Good exchange with H.E. Sirojiddin Muhriddin on deepening cooperation between @UNESCAP and #Tajikistan across water, climate and sustainable development agendas. We also discussed strengthening engagement with national institutions to support regional action.

Pleasure to welcome @UNESCO_DG to Bangkok. @UNESCO and @UNESCAP have a long-standing partnership. It was great to reflect on our joint work, supporting sustainable development across the region.

Great to speak with Deputy Minister Mohamad Azmi on Brunei Darussalam’s #EnergyTransition. Building on collaboration on projects like the Mengkubau Dam floating solar, we explored how to scale investment-ready solutions and advance sustainable, secure energy systems.

Glad to meet Ambassador Achmad Ubaedillah @IndonesiaInBSB. We discussed #Brunei’s economic priorities and the importance of @ASEAN cooperation in advancing sustainable development across the region.

In my discussion with Minister Dato Dr. Amin Liew Abdullah, we looked at how #Brunei is positioning itself for the future. From #InclusiveBusiness to regional energy connectivity, including the @ASEAN Power Grid, there is strong potential to align growth with sustainability.

Good to connect with Daniel Leong, Acting CEO of BEDB. I value our partnership, from advancing inclusive business to working together on @ASEAN RIPAP. Together, we are helping position #Brunei Darussalam in regional investment efforts.

I shared key outcomes of #CS82 with Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Permanent Secretary at @brunei_pmo. We reflected on Brunei Darussalam’s strong commitment to the #SDGs and the value of continued collaboration with @UNESCAP.

At the Brunei Sustainable Economy Forum 2026, I highlighted that sustainable economies are the foundation of future growth. In a time of rising uncertainty, progress will depend on stronger partnerships, innovation and aligning growth with people and planet.

Pleased to meet Minister of Foreign Affairs II Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof. Advancing sustainable development will require aligning investment, innovation and inclusion. Our partnership with #Brunei reflects how regional cooperation can translate ambition into action across #ASEAN.

Valuable exchange with business leaders from @ASEAN and @APEC in #Brunei. Engaging the private sector is critical to advancing sustainability and scaling green solutions. Through collaboration, we can turn regional priorities into investment and action across #AsiaPacific.

In Brunei Darussalam, we are launching a landscape study on #InclusiveBusiness. As we move closer to 2030, partnerships with the private sector are essential. The study will help identify pathways to scale inclusive business and support #Brunei’s Wawasan 2035 vision.

As #CS82 concludes, I am inspired by what we have achieved together. The #BakuBangkokDeclaration gives us a shared blueprint for inclusive and sustainable societies for all ages. We now look ahead to #CS83 in Shanghai, marking @UNESCAP’s 80th anniversary.

With four @UNESCAP members the @g7plus is shifting away from fragility to tackling important issues such as climate change, seeking partnerships on trade, e-governance and looking forward to bringing positive lessons to others. #CS82

I appreciated hearing from Minister & Chair of #APFSD Fane Fituafe, on the value of the Commission for countries like Tonga. A space to connect, access support and share a "spirit of oneness" in their pursuit of sustainable development in #AsiaPacific. #CS82
