Ganga e-way toll charges to be applicable from tomorrow #GangaExpressway will once again be levied. From 12:00:01 am on May 15 (a second after the midnight of May 14), a car owner plying via the 594km long speed corridor between Meerut and Prayagraj and vice versa would be liable to pay up the toll fees. Uttar Pradesh has achieved a major milestone in the logistics and infrastructure sector by securing the highest ‘Exemplar’ award among landlocked states in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) 2025 rankings. After consistently remaining in the ‘Achiever’ category from 2022 to 2024, the state emerged as the top-performing landlocked state this year, reflecting its robust connectivity network, efficient logistics ecosystem and progressive policy reforms. Uttar Pradesh is using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Swiss sensor technology to ensure the quality, safety and long-term durability of expressway projects across the state. Implemented by Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) in collaboration with Switzerland’s ETH Zurich and RTDT Laboratories AG, the technology enables data-driven and real-time monitoring during construction through sensor-based modules and AI-powered analysis. Recently deployed on the Ganga Expressway inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the system can detect even the smallest road defects, enabling timely corrective measures and strengthening smart infrastructure development in the state.
