Father Michael T. Castori, S.J. will receive episcopal consecration and be solemnly installed as the fourteenth Bishop of Honolulu on July 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM local time at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus in Honolulu.
The principal consecrator will be Archbishop Salvatore J. Cordileone, Metropolitan Archbishop of San Francisco. The principal co-consecrators will be Bishop Clarence R. Silva, Bishop Emeritus of Honolulu, and Bishop Michael C. Barber, S.J., Bishop of Oakland.

@USBishopsData Interesting that his Ordinary, Cardinal McElroy, isn't a co-consecrator. I will say, after watching the DC Auxiliary ordinations, you can still tell he's still recovering from the chemo.

Pope Leo XIV has accepted the resignation of Bishop Frank J. Dewane, 76, from the pastoral governance of the Diocese of Venice, and has appointed Reverend Emilio Biosca Agüero, OFM Cap., as Bishop of Venice. Father Biosca is a member of the Capuchin Franciscan Friars of the Province of Saint Augustine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and currently serves as pastor of the Shrine of the Sacred Heart in Washington, D.C.

@MementoMori_JMJ Cardinal Burke has celebrated most of (if not all of) the ICKSP ordinations in recent memory. Other American bishops like Wenski, Reed, Cordileone, and Perry have celebrated ordinations for the FSSP’s North American Province.

Why does it feel like Cdl. Burke is doing most of these Ecclesia Dei ordination (for FSSP and ICKSP)? Who's going to ordain these priests when he can no longer? Food for thought on why the SSPX believed they needed bishops.

I'm looking for a travel chasuble, something light and packable, but that could come out of a backpack looking decent enough to be reverent for Mass.
