On Memorial Day, we remember, reflect and pay tribute to those brave souls who died while defending our great nation. They will never be forgotten.

Gen. Thomas Carden, vice chief of the National Guard Bureau, recently visited mission-critical teams in Connecticut to witness the power of Joint Force integration. At Cyber Yankee 2026, more than 370 participants representing 10 National Guard units, six military branches, eight State Partnership Program partner nations, & numerous government & industry partners trained together to strengthen cyber readiness and defense of critical infrastructure. The exercise showcased the importance of collaboration across military, civilian, interagency & international partners. Gen. Carden also met with the 928th Military Working Dog Detachment, the only reserve-component military working dog unit in the U.S. military, and the Aviation Classification Repair Activity Depot, one of only four facilities in the Nation responsible for sustaining and maintaining aviation readiness across the force.
